How do we obtain PRF?

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is a component found in our blood.

A small amount of our patient’s blood is drawn and kept in a centrifuge.

Blood is separated into its components:

  • Red blood cells
  • Plasma
  • White blood cells platelets

Platelet rich fibrin is composed of white blood cells, platelets, and fibrin; this concentrate promotes healing. This concentrate contains Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF), which accelerates healing.
